The shorter headstone on the left marks the final resting place of Br. Lt. Col. James Willington. The taller stone is for Lt. Robert Kingsbury, and the third marker (without a headstone) is for Ens. John Chapman. These officers were among the 42 men from The Buffs killed and wounded during the Plattsburgh campaign, higher than any other regiment. |
